The world of jewellery is littered with fantastic examples using \u2018precious materials\u2019 (Go Etruscans go! Go Karl Fritsch go! etc. etc.). But I do not use them very often; I have so many other things in my studio to be distracted by. Once you start paying attention to the materials, and the materiality of \u2018things\u2019 new possibilities endlessly open out \u2026 within themselves and in relation to other bodies \u2013 jewellery\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00ab\u00a0J&rsquo;AIME les pierres taill\u00e9es (bien que rien ne puisse rivaliser avec la beaut\u00e9 de min\u00e9raux trouv\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tat naturel) et l&rsquo;or est incroyable! &#8211; Par sa seule couleur, sans parler de sa mall\u00e9abilit\u00e9 et ductilit\u00e9&#8230; un vrai plaisir de le travailler, juste penser \u00e0 la derni\u00e8re fois o\u00f9 j\u2019ai coupe de l\u2019or avec une scie de bijoutiers me donne un frisson de plaisir (contrairement \u00e0 couper de l&rsquo;acier &#8211; le souvenir d\u2019un grincement de dents ou une craie gratt\u00e9e sur un tableau noir !). Le monde de la bijouterie est rempli d&rsquo;exemples fantastiques d\u2019utilisation de \u00abmati\u00e8res pr\u00e9cieuses\u00bb. Mais je ne les utilise pas tr\u00e8s souvent, je me laisse distraire par tellement d\u2019autres choses dans mon studio.
