Cr\u00e9atrice de bijoux<\/strong><\/p>\n Lives Australia.<\/p>\n Qualifications<\/strong> 2010 2013 1978 – 2009 Awards<\/strong> Collections<\/strong> Artist Statement<\/strong> \u00ab\u00a0En combinant deux ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes inn\u00e9s antiques: l’attraction et l’obsession du miroir-surface r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissante- et la parure-ornement-, je relie le cot\u00e9 social et le cot\u00e9 ultra personnel du bijou contemporain. L\u2019utilisation du miroir comme leitmotiv et m\u00e9taphore de la r\u00e9flexion \u00e0 la fois mat\u00e9rielle et concept, est au c\u0153ur de ma pratique artistique. J’applique ces notions riches et complexes \u00e0 une \u00e9chelle intime et enqu\u00eate sur l’importance de l’objet r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissant port\u00e9 sur le corps humain. \n\u00ab\u00a0Combining two ancient innate phenomena : the attraction to and obsession with the reflective mirrored surface and that of adornment, I link the social and sense of self to contemporary jewellery. Using mirror as leitmotif and metaphor, reflection as both material and concept are central to my artistic practice. I apply these rich and complex notions on an intimate scale and investigate the significance of the reflective worn object on the human body. The mirror, always unpredictable, forever changing and despite its ubiquitous nature in modern society is for me a \u201cpolysemous trope\u201d (Goscilo) and an endless empirical device\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n
