\n\u00ab\u00a0The frozen terrene of Antarctica is a repository that provides a record of the developments and changes to our environment and atmosphere. The development and research of ice since the 1960s has allowed prehistoric air to be analyzed and remarkable findings to be drawn from this data. These samples are precious artifacts in their own right, for the information that they can provide at this time when the environment is increasingly under threat from artificial pollutants. My interpretations of Antarctica engage with the viewer through recognizable personal jewellery and souvenir objects. Within my research I explore the use of enameling in contemporary jewellery making by experimenting with processes used in historical souvenirs like micro mosaics and miniatures.\u00a0\u00bb

\n\u00ab\u00a0Le sol gel\u00e9 de l’Antarctique fait office de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour enregistrer les d\u00e9veloppements et variations de notre environnement, de l’atmosph\u00e8re. Depuis les ann\u00e9es 1960 ces recherches ont permis d\u2019analyser l’air \u00abpr\u00e9historique\u00bb et des r\u00e9sultats remarquables peuvent \u00eatre tir\u00e9s de ces donn\u00e9es. Ces \u00e9chantillons sont des artefacts pr\u00e9cieux par eux-m\u00eames et pour les informations qu’ils peuvent nous fournir, \u00e0 notre \u00e9poque o\u00f9 l’environnement est de plus en plus menac\u00e9 par les polluants artificiels. Dans la fabrication de mes bijoux j\u2019utilise des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s qui font r\u00e9f\u00e9rences \u00e0 des souvenirs \u00abhistoriques\u00bb, micromosaics, miniatures. A travers mes bijoux et objets souvenirs, le spectateur peut identifier mon interpr\u00e9tation de ce monde de l\u2019Antarctique\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n
