Il est inutile de dire qu\u2019elle occupe une place atypique dans ce champ de la recherche dans le monde du bijou : plac\u00e9e loin, tr\u00e8s loin au dessus de la m\u00eal\u00e9e. En changeant l\u2019id\u00e9e des formes et la forme des id\u00e9es, en faisant na\u00eetre du pr\u00e9cieux dans l\u2019ordinaire n\u00e9glig\u00e9, non-vu, en jouant avec les combinaisons improbables elle dira avec un sourire candide : \u00ab Je fais des bijoux, mais pas avec de l\u2019or, mais pas avec des bijoux. J\u2019aime d\u00e9sorienter les gens, m\u00eame si ils pensent que je n\u2019ai pas toutes les tasses dans l\u2019armoire, s\u2019ils trouvent qu\u2019il me manque une case. Quand je travaille c\u2019est comme une longue m\u00e9ditation, \u00e7a me tranquillise, mais mon mari s\u2019\u00e9nerve \u00bb<\/em>. For nearly 30 years now Verena has been pulling cord and expending thread. Needless to say, she holds an exceptional place researching this area in the world of jewellery : she goes way beyond the usual and takes it to another level. By changing the idea of form and the form of ideas, bringing to life the sense of preciousness in the neglected ordinary – the unseen – and playing with improbable combinations, she says with a candid smile : \u00ab I make jewellery, not with gold but with jewellery. I like to disorient people, even if they think that I\u2019m one sandwich short of a picnic, that Im not quite all there.
