He has revolutionized modern jewelry art. \u00ab\u00a0En 1976, j’\u00e9tais \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019id\u00e9es nouvelles et originales pour un nouveau point de d\u00e9part dans mon travail de cr\u00e9ation de bijoux. Je suis all\u00e9 plusieurs fois me faire prendre en photos dans un stand de prises instantan\u00e9es, avec ma poitrine d\u00e9cor\u00e9e de fil d’acier, ficelle, feuilles de papier, rubans, et points de papier. J\u2019\u00e9tais surtout int\u00e9ress\u00e9 par les formes g\u00e9om\u00e9triques – points, lignes droites, courbes ou pli\u00e9es, cercles, triangles, carr\u00e9s, et dans les versions \u00e0 deux et trois dimensions. Dans les ann\u00e9es qui ont suivi, j’ai fait plusieurs s\u00e9ries de broches \u00e0 partir de cette recherche photographique. \n<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0In 1976 I was looking for fresh and uncommon ideas for jewelry as a new starting point in my work. I went several times to an instant photo booth and decorated my chest with steel wire, string, paper sheets, tapes, and paper dots. I was mainly interested in geometric shapes – dots, straight, curved or bent lines, circles, triangles, and squares, in both their two- and three-dimensional versions. In the following years I made several series of brooches based on this photographic research. I was interested in how far I could take the minimalization of geometric shapes as jewelry.\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0Otto K\u00fcnzli<\/strong><\/p>\n
