« I create jewellery from all possible materials: from rusty nails to platinum, from a beach rock to diamonds. Also leather is a familiar material to me. A combination of metal and leather creates exciting material tensions. My ancestors were blacksmiths, foundry workers, boat builders and other artisans with wisdom and skills in their hands to make materials alive. Craftsmanship is in my blood ». Harry Syrjanen
Je crée des bijoux à partir de tous les matériaux possibles, allant du clou rouillé au précieux platine, d’un caillou au diamant. Le cuir est aussi une matière qui m’est familière. La combinaison métal-cuir crée des tensions passionnantes. Mes ancêtres étaient des forgerons, fondeurs, constructeurs de bateaux et autres artisans avec toute la sagesse et compétences dans leurs mains pour donner vie aux matériaux. Cet « artisanat » est dans mon sang. Quoi de plus précieux !
